Bank of America got our loan from Country wide at end of 2009 next thing we know they are telling us we were in arrears showed all proof never behind… they still said and kept claiming computer error only way to fix is a harp loan we did we refinanced a yr later with a better company and to our dismay found out they put a 2nd lien on our house and it screwed us up and made us take a higher interest rate. it isn’t any of our signature on this 2nd page at all… and now 2 yrs later many phone calls just now sending out the escrow checks to us that was still in the account when we closed. but guess what no daily compound interest on this money…
I am 81 years old. I have banked with Bank of America for 50 years! During 32 years of that time my ex-husband and I deposited into BofA our combined six-figure income.
It all started when my daughter and I opened our own thrift store in July of 2016. We contacted Flagship Credit Card Processing to accept credit and debit cards in our store. They sent us a credit card machine, which by their own admission (I have proof) did not work. I have their original email in which they advised me to “keep a bank balance of at least $50.00/month to pay our fees”.
Our business failed after two months because the landlord didn’t pay the power bill. The power was shut off on September 12 and we were forced to close the business and vacate the building.
In December, Flagship debited my BofA account for $585.00!! I filed a dispute with Bank of America and a “temporary” credit was applied to my account. One month later Flagship again debited my account for an additional $178.00. I closed the account to prevent further debits and opened a new account. .
Subsequently Bank of America informed me that they had reversed the temporary credits and had decided in favor of Flagship, “because Flagship sent a copy of the contract”. BofA sent me copies of the “contract” on which they based their decision. Both copies are clearly labeled “Application”. Flagship’s on-line advertisement clearly states “no contract”. BofA based their decision on a document that did not exist and never did exist.
Bank of America left me near destitute, taking nearly all of a month’s Social Security. I had to choose between heating fuel and food!
When I filed the original dispute, the Banker said, “We’ve got your back!”. Why – so they could stick a knife in it???
I am a small business owner from New Jersey who has been negatively impacted by Hurricane Sandy. After requesting assistance for overdraft fees, their call center representatives and floor manager (Dave) were rude, disrespectful, and hung up on me more than once. I was given incorrect information from the floor manager Dave which resulted in his bank extorting more money out of my business. I am totally fed up with their horrible banking practices and would love to help you make America (especially NJ) aware that BoA is Against Americans.

This used to be a great bank that cared about its customer and was focused on customer satisfaction…but over the past 6 years I’ve watched this bank go from terrible to worse! They lie, they cheat, they steal, and then they pretend to care with a lame apology and nothing ever gets fixed or corrected. They’ll charge you fees for free accounts and then make to spend hours of your time and effort getting them back, only to respond, “Sorry, our mistake, we fixed the problem”…and yet it happens again. You’ll never get repaid for the time you waste with this bank. They will steal your transferred credit card points and say that you acknowledged the transfer expiration of 90 days that was NEVER disclosed. They’ll place holds on pending authorizations for days until the statement has closed in order to prevent you from using points and causing you to carry over a small balance for the next statement! They will sell your private personal information to anyone and everyone-regardless of your right to OPT-OUT and in violation of state and federal law. They will routinely route your calls to oversea call centers when they recognize you are calling from a number that they’ve marked as, “trouble maker”…their definition mearly being anyone who ever calls to have something corrected that they caused in error. They will answer you calls and questions with textbook responses that have nothing to do with the reason you’re calling, but rather just a rewording of what you just said out of context; they’ll laugh at you and press mute while you speak earnestly to try and have your situation addressed and they will go out of their way to ask so many personal verifying questions at times that any reasonable person can see that they are just attempting to frustrate you more into hanging up…they will purposely pretend that they cannot hear you and ask you to constantly repeat yourself, or they will intentionally enter incorrect information forcing you to be transferred to the fraud department to have your account unlocked…Trust me, I’ve been down the road with this bank for years with both personal, business, credit, loans, and mortgages! I’ve recently closed all of my accounts except for my credit cards for fear of harming my credit score and in an attempt to cash out on the numerous points I’ve accumulated over the past years-but you can’t; new policies require all points to be redeemed in increments of 2500 and can no longer be transferred across accounts in any smaller increments…they stole 10′s of thousand of my points that I had transferred over the phone and swore that I acknowledged a disclaimer that they would expire in 90 days if not used-yet they refuse to review the phone call that was supposively recorded…all this for a lousy $12.50, yeah crazy huh, spend a whopping $2,500 dollars with them and those 2500 points will only net you $12.50. I HATE THIS BANK…YOU’VE STRESSED ME OUT, CAUSED ME GRIEF, STOLE FROM ME, WASTED MY TIME, ALL FOR BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER THAT NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT AND KEPT TONS OF MONEY IN YOUR BANK AND USED YOUR CREDIT CARDS ON A DAILY BASIS…YEAH, NO MORE! They have such a lousy systerm I was with them since 1997 and never had any overdraft charges that I ever contested then I had my friend and roommate come to their bank and they have done nothing but rip him off everymonth since he opened his account. He’s a Senior citizen and a Veteran and they have been robbing him blind. I’ve had to call every months sometimes more than once and fight with them over something. I also applied for a secured card and was denied plus they did a hard inquiry twice on my credit and I never asked for a unsecured card and after I filed the complaint they did it again,…. Beginning in August 1st 2011, we missed a payment due to the economy and layoffs and our home loan institution Bank of America began sending us packets indicating we could be eligible for various program to prevent losing our home. On September 2 2011, we received a letter stating “Notice of intent to accelerate” and we were to pay the two payments behind @ $2,989.42 in addition the letter indicated that if we did not comply foreclosure proceedings may begin. The next package we received was dated September 28th 2011. This package stated we had to have our information turned in before October 28th 2011 we received the package on October 30th 2011 we faxed all the information to her on October 31st stating when we received the packet. On November 14th 2011 we received a letter stating that our single point of contact is Seneca Boyd-Tan, the letter includes that she will work with us to review our individual situation and decide which programs work best for our situation. On December 14th and 15th we received a letter from Titanium Solutions stating that “they will be sending a representative from Titanium Solutions Inc to collect the documents that will help with the review process” I called Titanium Solutions and they had not record of anyone scheduled to come to collect documents. (Please note that we received packages every other day for months from Bank of America stating the same information over and over again, and I do have proof of this claim)
January 31st we received another packet stating, “They had reviewed our request for the modification loan and we were declined because we did not send the documents they asked for” In this letter it also suggested that to avoid negative consequences on our credit we could do a short sale or a deed in lieu. To comply with Bank of America we attempted a short sale with Area Properties May 15th 2012, Selling price at $95,000, and no interested parties.
On March 15th 2012, we received a letter from Bank of America stating “ In accordance with the terms of your home loan agreement, your property has begun foreclosure proceedings)
As of April 2nd 2012 we started getting notices of trustee deed of sale, in addition to a letter stating that “our lender has decided to sell our property because the money due on our mortgage has not been paid” Company name: Recontrust Company, N.A. again we received multiple letters stating the same information about every other day. On April 17th 2012 we received another letter stating “In order to proceed with you cooperative short sale, please return this form no later than May 4th 2012”, and we did so.
On June 7th 2012, and on July 12th we received a letter from Bank of America stating “We are reviewing the loan modification process however we need additional information, this program is introduced by the U.S. Department of Justice and the State Attorneys General Global settlement.” (Please note the information requested was the same from the beginning and I indeed have proof of fax correspondence)
On August 3rd 2012, we received a letter from Bank of America stating that “our request was not received in time to complete a review prior to the foreclosure sale, consequently the foreclosure will proceed as scheduled”
August 10th 2012, we received a letter from Bank of America stating “we have been approved to start a trial period plan for the new modification program as a result of the U.S, Department of Justice and State Attorneys General global settlement”
The offer is as follows: “This modification program includes significant principal reduction and an affordable monthly payment. If you complete this trial period plan by making all of the payments as outlined below, any past due late fees will be waved, interest and advances that we paid on your behalf will be added to your principal balance, and your loan will be brought up to date. We will then permanently reduce your principle balance by the amount of $83,884.16* in addition we will reduce your interest rate to 2.0%”
The period plan is as follows:
1. September 3rd 2012 $566.33
2. October 3rd 2012 $566.33
3. November 3rd 2012 $566.33
I began my payments on September 6th 2012 and every month thereafter on the third of every month, complying with the agreement. The letter also stated that if we complied to the agreement our final documents would arrive by the end of November 2012 and the agreement would be settled; moreover 3 copies of the permanent documents would be provided.
On November 13th 2012 we received ONE copy of a TRIAL modification agreement, we were to sign and date and return which we did; Then on January 8th 2013 we received another modification letter stating: “As the date of this letter we have not received your signed modification documents, (we sent them back on November 14th 2012). “We want to ensure that you are aware of this offer for a permanent loan modification and have an opportunity to accept it, we would like to remind you that a payment modification under this program would provide you with principal reduction in the amount of $88,828.59 and a low monthly payment of $607.67”. This is not what the first offer was and they wanted documents signed and returned, there were no packets to sign”
Through this entire process I kept in contact with Bank of America weekly, and I heard the same thing over and over again it is in the system, or some would reply it is not in the system, please also note :these are the multiple representatives and this is just the ones I can recall off the top of my head.

Due to my frustrations and incompetency of Bank of America I filed a complaint with the BBB on February 26th 2012, March 1st 2013, I received a letter from Paul Viggiani, he wrote the letter stating that he went through our case and showed inconsistencies of what my complaint is. I told him I would gladly provide proof of the correspondence that he stated we did not comply.
Mr. Viggiani, has worked tirelessly on my case and every time he approaches the closing department they tell him to wait and that it is in escalation, we speak weekly and he has been the best representative I have dealt with. However, I am sick of the incompetence of Bank of America and the lack of concern for their customers.
I am on disability for severe anxiety, post traumatic disorder, bi-polar 1, this situation that has been occurring going on two years has hospitalized me and caused me to up my medication doses to ridiculous amounts, I also have medical records to prove this as well. Mentally I cannot take anymore and I am seriously considering an attorney for emotional, mental damages. This may sound Ludacris however, I want Bank of America to write off my loan, I only make $776.00 a month, and I have a payment of $566.33. I am grateful for the lower price however in the end I am still paying for the entire loan that this house and I quote from a Bank of America appraiser “this house isn’t even worth $40,000, I cannot keep going through this, and I will not lose my home because of a banks incompetency.
Please resolve this issue, I feel as though Bank of America is money hungry because they cannot manage the people’s money and needed a bail out it is sickening how many houses are vacant because of bail outs and foreclosure happy irresponsible banks. Moreover It makes me sick that the presidents of these banks are sitting pretty while people like me suffer from fear that our homes will be taken. It is now May 20, 2013 I received a letter stating that I owed an additional 738.60 on my payment from February 2013 because my payments are $1,453.79 a month and I owe $22,506.04, and this is the amount I need to pay in full or foreclosure proceedings will begin; I have Two filing cabinets full of documentation from Bank Of America, proof of our cooperation with everything they have put me through and I now yet have another account manager and Friday may 16 2013 I received a letter stating I have another case manager. My Modification loan has been in “ Escalation” now for oh about 5 months and I keep getting the same story that they are told by the closing department just wait. Again our Final Modification loan papers were to be delivered by November 30th 2012. And yet still no closure. I have made complaints to the Attorney General, Federal Reserve consumer help and three additional complaints to BBB. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE IN MY BEHAF!
I am now currently seeking legal advice from Social Security Disability and seeking other attorneys that will help me with this since no one else seems to care.
I want my loan paid in full or excused and or compensation for mental anguish. It may seem silly to ask for such a thing however I have suffered from the beginning of this fight. My mental health is completely airy and I have medical records to prove the damage this is causing. WOW! Your story sounds like exactly what I have been going through for over the past 2 years now. Initially we fell behind a month due to loss of income when I called BOA all they could say was that we weren’t “delinquent enough” to receive any help but that they also couldn’t tell us to stop paying, although if we were 3 months behind there would be other options.
So after falling 3 months behind and calling BOA for about the 100th time only to be routed from a representative in CA TO IL any everywhere in between with no real answers and no one who could give me a shred of information regarding the original options I was made aware of for assistance. I called and asked if we could start to send an additional $100-$200 a month to catch-up on payments to which they responded “no” and that they would just send me my money back, which seems very illegal to me. To make a long story short I received about 100 or more conflicting pieces of mail from different departments within BOA which clearly don’t communicate with one another as all the information was different and no one customer rep. in particular could seem to determine where these notices were coming from or what I was even talking about. Every time I called I was either transferred or given a different answer altogether.
I finally gave up entirely on BOA because like you I only felt as though it was seriously negatively effecting my health by even trying to get a strait answer from them , my stress, anxiety and blood pressure rose with every call, or transferred call.
I finally went through my states EMAP(emergency mortgage assistance program) and was approved by them within a few months. Such relief or so I thought, BOA came back and said they weren’t unwilling to help me so the approval was then retracted and once again I was back at square one with BOA. Now I had to get a State of CT Mediator to deal with the Bank which meant taking time off of work to go to court and never ending requests for paper work whether paystubs, electric bills and on and on and on, which magically the Bank never seemed to receive even though I received both fax confirmations as well as sent certified mail. So now this process went on for almost a year all the while BOA was dragging their feet being completely incompetent and racking up additional lawyers fees, filing fees and a never ending supply of late charges (even though they wouldn’t accept my payment) all for me to pay after they dragged me through the mud another year. To say BOA is infuriating and I hate them is the biggest understatement of all time.
After a year of the State mediator now staying on top of the Bank to “do their jobs” we were approved for a temporary modification to which our mortgage went from $1380.67 to $1230.45 about -$150 less for a 3 month trial payment period. I scheduled all this payments to be automatically deducted from my checking account so that their would be no way the payments would be late or missed. The initial paperwork advised after the trial period the bank would add $8k back on to our principle balance.
Well 3 months turned into 6 months before the permanent paper work was actually received by us.
And go figure with 3 weeks to get our response back to BOA they decided to screw us as hard as they could one more time, the 8k back on to our premium was now more than double that and was more than 17k. When I called my very incompetent and useless 10th account manager she gave me some BS answer and then called me back to state she was incorrect, but went on to make it seem like they did me a favor and that essentially they “made an exception by adding this on my principle balance rather then making me pay this money up front.
So being between a rock and a hard place and for the countless time trying to do what I thought was the “right thing” I agreed and sent back the agreement to the Bank.
Then I get a notice stating for this month of December I only owed a $225 late charge and my first permanent payment wasn’t due until January 1. So of course I called the account manager to verify this was correct as I had been given the wrong information so many times before. Well Pricilla hunter didn’t return my first 2 calls and then on my 3rd call basically told me she thought I should still pay December and didn’t see where the notice came from stating only late charges were due. I told her I could fax her the notice which she denied stating that wouldn’t help. she then transferred me to Customer Service which rang about 100 X before I was disconnected., I called her back even more furious. Then I asked to speak to her boss Latara Persons manager as Latara never returned my calls either. So now I am awaiting a call from Heather Markam that may never come to which I’m sure she will have no real definitive answers or explanations either so BOA purgatory continues and everyday I learn more and more why people stop paying their mortgages altogether rather then deal with the never ending anarchy of BOA. I also know why they are and I’m sure will forever be America’s most hated bank.

I need help and answers and am getting conflicting packages weekly from BAC, also, never a call back from a supervisor. I’m already in a modification program, but BAC claims that they “just” realized an oversight on their part, that began 4 years ago but expect me to pay it within the year. The dollar amount that they’re adding to my mortgage almost doubles it.
I would love to be in a class action against BofA/ I will soon be homeless because of them.

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” – hopefully I’m not really anyone’s enemy but I am a commercial landlord and one of my tenants is Bank of America. I’ve terminated their lease and am in a dispute with them about their tenancy. Amazingly, they are shocked, like they’ve never heard of people getting kicked out. The Senior VP and the Lawyer are angry at me for trying. They’re pissed, incensed, scared, occasionally yelling!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not being altruistic or vengeful, I’m just trying to make money. It is amazing how surprised they are, I don’t think anyone has ever tried to evict them before.

I have lost all faith in BA as a business partner because of something BA did this week and will spread this story far and wide on social media so others don’t make the mistake of partnering with then. I have had multiple accounts with multiple businesses over the 20 years I have been a customer of BA. I have run millions of dollars through my BA account and you have probably made $10s of thousands off of me. But this week they closed one of my accounts with no explanation. Never even notified me. I found out days later when they did not process a payment. This will create a huge headache for me and hours of extra effort to manually imput what was once online account history into my quickbooks, change vendor acct. info, etc. I am left into the dark as to what I might have done wrong or what will be the status of my other accounts. I feel like they have treated me as a terrorist or a criminal rather than the solid customer I have been for 20 years. You will not get any more of my business.

I too am having mortgage problems with BofA. For almost 2 years they claimed that I was one month behind on mortgage. I have not missed a payment since early 2009. Then about 2010/2011 the invoices started coming in middle of month payment was due but I would still send in payment on 1st of month using info from last payment. In May 2013 I called to inquire about bogus late payment. I told person on phone what I was calling about and informed her that conversation was being recorded. She said she was getting a supervisor. When he got on phone he said “bank of america does not speak when being recorded”. I told him he could not tell me who I could record on my phone. He kept repeating stated of no talk on record. So I said then that ends this conversation. Less than two weeks later I get letter informing me that nationstar mortgage was handling my mortgage and they would contact me. When I received invoice from nationstar it showed that I was now 3 months behind. In July I sent in regular payment anyway and have been doing so from July to October. In September 2013 they sent me a check for $966.40 (normal payment). In October I received correspondence from nationstar, inside were two blank pieces of paper and one of my checks, but the still send invoices and no checks were credited therefore they had me as 4 months deliquent. Also bofa bought my mortgage from countrywide in March/April 2009. And there was 30 days of grace for switch. Needless to say this action by bofa and nationstar has affected my property taxes and homeowner’s insurance. Do I need to hire a lawyer or is there a government program that will put an end to this injustice?
12/18/2013 In 2011 I did online payment of my Bank of America credit card. After several months and problems with web site I spoke to BofA rep. after removing my checking account number, requested paper statement and was told that online bill pay was ‘disabled.’ Today I decided to see if that account was ‘disabled’ and found that I could access my two credit card accounts using my 2011 ID, password, and answer to security question. Surprise. I decided to pay the statement recently received. Received message that I couldn’t, try again. I did not see any way to put my checking and routing number in to pay. Called. Spoke to rep. #1 and after explaining what I wanted to do with history, she said I needed to speak to another dept. Rep. #2 had same story explained. She kept saying, hold on, and then said she wasn’t ‘computer savvy.’ this was the Technical Dept. After 10 full minutes she then said she would turn me over to another dept. I got a voice mail and was asked questions and then after waiting a few minutes was told I would be disconnected and to call again. Rep. #2 said they were having technical problems which reminded me of why I stopped online bill payment with Bank of America in 2011. Complete waste of time! I didn’t call back. Came to I Hate Bank of America instead.
If only I could contact them. Last month they blocked my card because I had the temerity to use it in a state not my own, without informing them I was travelling (have been travelling on business all over the place for years). So last week I did tell them I would be out of the country. Today received a message to view their response. Went online to find they have blocked the whole account and I need a safepass code to get in to anything. I don’t have that device with me so “no worries” call us. I don’t have access to a phone with international dialing either so I am screwed. There is literally no way to contact them without a phone and I have no access to my account. I cannot risk buying anything and then finding the card doesn’t work so I am pretty much abandoned. Why would they have no email access or contact? The only message contact requires one to log into the account – which I cannot do. They are both moronic and crazy.

COUNTRYWIDE/BANK OF AMERICA have falsified my original REVERSE MORTGAGE DOCUMENTS (HECM=Home Equity Conversion Mortgage) into a CONVENTIONAL MORTGAGE two years after they paid for my reverse from October 2006 to May 2008- NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR MYOWN REVERSE-(my reverse was fully funded by a government agency who told me to execute it through “a reputable lender” (yeah. right!) They have done me wrong- even though they have committed a felony (falsifying documents is a felony) the court are leaning on their side…(their attorney has stated false, untrue statements in order to win the favor of the courts)

boa totally ran our family into the ground.for 7 months we talked to the same lady(Contrice Archey).they had raised our payments even though they were fixed and not adjustable til we had to file for loan mod.we were getting default letters and she said just to throw them away,that is was just taking time for the paperwork to go through.i even called my child molesting father and said something wasn’t right and he called contrice and she told him the same thing.i received a letter from nationstar saying I was in default and they were my new mortgage company.for 7 months that lady lied to us.my mom is dying and she knew that yet she lied to her month after month.we ended up paying thousands of dollars more for the loan with nationstar.my mom filed for bankruptcy in 2011 and her equity loan was discharged and there is a 0 balance do yet boa has been collecting our money out of our account every moth and they are threating to take our property if I don’t give them my moms death certificate when she dies.they let it slip that they have life insurance on my mom but theyre not going to pay off the loan with it they are going to pocket it and still take our property even though they told mom they wouldn’t do that.they told me theyre coming for the estate.im already watching my mom die everyday I don’t need to think about my 3 children being homeless too.can someone please tell me what to do?

I may be able to help- I have two large firms interested in funding this litigation. One of them did the tobacco and asbestos litigation. These would be individual cases not class actions. I am hoping to be able to fund these b/c the clients have no money. Right now it is just me in my firm and the use of a few contract lawyers – keeping the 30+ cases alive which have come from all across the country since my 46 million punitive came back in March. To Anonymous: Since you posted this a year ago, I don’t know that you check this site for updates. I would love to be part of this alliance, because it’s going to take a huge group of people to get anything done. The recent situation in Baltimore is (in my opinion) is a result of folks not getting answers when they civilly have tried to get help and/or relief. I wish I had your contact info, and I wish that more people would leave theirs so that we can at least see where we stand now. Some of these posts are 2 years or older, and since many of those people may now be homeless it’s unlikely that they are able to get online to see if other posts can help them. NOTHING. GET A LAWYER. Count on BOA screwing you. Simply consult a lawyer and ask what steps you must take to be in compliance with procedures. Then take them, it will be a huge hassle, since you are dealing with the shadiest company known to man. After you have crossed your t’s and dotted your i’s you can be certain you will not get any help and that they may, actually make enough errors that you can file a lawsuit ( a personal one). I am not a lawyer. My situation dragged on since 2008. I ended up in bankruptcy due to them when they promised to accept the amount of money offered to them in my short sale after I fell ill and could not work. After the short sale closed, they began procedures to collect the full amount of the loan and harrased me through debt collection agencies. I was advised that bankruptcy was the only way to free myself of them, but guess what? Three years later, after the discharge of the bankruptcy, the continue to send me letters saying they are now willing to forgive the amount I owe on the loan, and I must accept or decline. I do not owe them anything, as it was wiped out in the bankruptcy. I called numerous times, the acknowledge that they are aware of the bankruptcy, as well as the short sale, but now say the lein on the house was not released. OMG. I sold the house in 2009. It has since resold a year ago. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? These people could not be more incompetent if they were all given frontal lobotomies. It is too bad that there is only a site to complain, and there is not a physical way to gather us all to unite against BOA in a more noticeable fashion. Public outcry in the most public forums is best. Huge media coverage is best. But here we are. Who knows a law firm who would want the huge publicity of taking on this gigantic underhanded corporation? The more I think about it, it might be better for us to all file our own private suits, as long as we have legitimate cases. BOA will become so much more bogged down with legal problems than they already are that it might trigger some kind of favorable result. The worst that can happen is that we each make an attempt to recover something from them.
I am wondering if you know of any class action law suits against Bank of America concerning preventing home owners from selling their homes? After my divorce my Ex wife and I did list the house for sale through Central Maine Real Estate – Coldwell Banker Plourde Real Estate. The realtor had perspective buyers. She even tried to help me short sale the home. I even gave her legal power to speak to Bank Of America that she needed. She was not able to get any type of cooperation from Bank of America to negotiate financial aspects of selling the home.
As well as going through my divorce I at the same time was under Permanent change of station orders with the United States Navy. My Ex wife Michelle left the home vacant and I was serving aboard a naval aircraft carrier at the time. So I had no physical way of maintaining this home while serving aboard a Naval vessel. My Ex wife and I also had people contact us on Facebook.com interested in buying our home. We were not able to get any type of assistance from Bank of America to complete any type of sale process. Now both of us have damaged credit and a house that has suffered well over $100,000 in damages. My Ex wife also claimed her portion of this mortgage in her bankruptcy. Which legally complicated things for me as the primary borrower.
Is there any type of class action lawsuit out there concerning Bank of America not allowing home owner to sell their properties? I feel a wrong was done to me in this matter.
At this time I am working a foreclosure process with my lawyer Michael Phillips as it is the fastest cheapest legal way to get this Bank of America loan resolved. However it is preventing from being able to purchase another home.

I have hated BoA for a long time now, but they’ve really done it now! So, my husband was injured in Iraq and had spinal surgery in July 2014 .I was out of work for several weeks taking care of my husband during that month. Money got a little tight for August but I kept in touch with BoA to let them know that the mortgage payment would be made just late. I was informed once again that they could help with loan modification, I gave them all the info they asked for to start the process, well of course I never received it. In the meantime we found an outreach program for injured soldiers and there families during hardships, all I can say is that they were a Godsend!!! So, since the assistance program lady put us all on a 3 way call so they could make our payment for us, they start offering once again to do the modification again, so once again I give the same info again, still waiting on the 1st set of paperwork from the 1st time. Next thing I know, last week we get a letter dated on Sep11 that BoA has sold our home loan to another company. Two days later I get the paperwork from BoA for the home modification loan after they’d already sold my mortgage!!!!!! So if anyone from BoA..H…. ever reads this thank you for all your help, it was much appreciated! Ohhhh and my husband and I read the reviews of the new mortgage company, and they sound just as bad BoA, but they certainly cant be any worse. So I just want to say thank you for this outlet to vent about BoA and there dirty practices, I wont have to deal with them anymore though thank God!

My name is Erick Martinez, I am a Venezuelan citizen and opened a BOA account
about six months. Starting making normal deposits and debits; from night to day
I was informed about an illegal transaction made in my account (still don’t know
which) so my account would be closed and a check mailed to my address.
They sent the check via UPS who lost the package, after two months of fighting
UPS declares to have the package lost. I called BOA and they tell me according
to “their” regulations I have to wait 90 working days more to get another.
So I am expecting 6 months now to receive the funds and my bills and commitments are killing me! It’s almost 20k and I don’t really know what to do!

I discovered today that Bank of America has been charging my daughter’s savings account up to $10/month for exceeding 3 ATM withdraws a month. When I called to question them the Customer Service Representative sited that a Federal Regulation “D” forced them to institute this policy. It turns out that Regulation “D” limits automatic and pre-authorized transfers to 6, not 3, and furthermore, does not apply to “in person”, or “ATM” withdraws against savings, checking, or money market accounts. My daughter is 18 and will be opening her own checking account this weekend (with another bank) so this problem will go away for me, but young people in this country are not able to get checking accounts and are consequently subject to this unreasonable fee for access to their own savings. I believe that we should encourage our kids to be responsible with saving and spending money from as young an age as possible. It’s not just a good thing for them, it’s a good thing for capitalism and this country. I also believe that this is fraud on Bank of America’s part. They have devised yet another way to take money from people, through fees that do not translate to any service or value add of any kind. What’s worse is that they are using federal government regulations, which most people know nothing about, as a baseless excuse to steel money from people in a way that portends to make themselves the victim messenger of the evil government, when in fact they are twisting the intent of regulations into shapes that allow them to siphon money from their customers accounts without providing a product or service. That’s pretty nauseating. I can tell you that I’m looking for a new bank this weekend, and so should everyone who banks with Bank of America.
Bank of America…. Let me count the ways of how my business has not only been negatively impacted by them but also my family.
I started a new Technology Business. I have relatively good credit (nothing negative) and have used BofA with past businesses I have sold. After opening an account online and going to a branch to make a deposit, I was told the funds would be available within 2 business days. On the 2nd business day I check the balance and sure enough there were the funds. I went online to purchase hardware for a customer from our vendor and …… DENIED. After calling the bank to see what happened, I was told it was a Risk Management Hold. Ok… So what can I do to have this released and when is it suppose to be released. After 3 reps, no one knew anything. They called Risk Management and requested a manager call me and I was promised with in 1 hour I would receive a call. 24 hours later…. Nothing. I called again, was told there was nothing they could do. Just out of curiosity I called my customer’s bank that sent me the check and the bank verified the check already was paid. I then called my customer to see if Bank of America had called or if their bank called. Well, again the answer was NO. So I called BofA for the 4th time, 6 days after the deposit, and was told that they could not verify with the customers bank that the account existed. That is strange I stated because I JUST called them and they stated they paid the check. They stated they tried to call the customer that issued the check and they don’t exist. Funny because I called and checked the phone system logs (I am their IT guy) and no record from any BofA call.
So again I was told they would research and call me back within an hour. 24 hours later I call again. They stated there is nothing they will do and I have to wait until the funds are released in 10 business days. So I had to wait 18 days for funds to be released from BofA on a new BUSINESS account which I could not use, deposit funds or accept CC transactions as they COULD hold it for 18 business days. Not only did I lose out on the sale of the hardware because I could not provide the equipment, but I also had to draw from my line of credit which I had to establish after the initial issue with BofA (funny I can get a line of credit from another bank faster than BofA would deposit my checks) and incur interest.
I also spent over 8 hours of documented phone time and face time with a bank. Not a fun time to be with a horrible bank. What a way to STOP a BUSINESS from doing business.

After filling a complain about a branch and harassment phone call from this branch and requesting me to NOT COME anymore (My ex wife) worked there and I didnt know and we have no court paper or restricted order ..nothing

I just realized Bank Of America has been charging me 3 dlls per month, to send me “images of checks”, a service I never requested. So as far as I can go back, they have been charging me this! apparently “I would not have to pay for it If I was enrolled on paperless”, so they are punishing me for not opting to not get mail. Well, that’s it, I opened a credit union checking acc and I will start moving all there. I had been dreading having to re- enter all my payments and bills and all automatic charges.. but I have had it!
I got a note today with my deposit: NEW POLICY starting Nov. 1, 2015 Any deposit including cash of ANY amount will require you to show a driver’s license or ID, supposedly for your “security.” So If I use a teller and deposit a couple checks and 20$, I have to show an ID.Another hoop to jump through…. 1 too many for me.
I checked with my 2 other banks, they are NOT doing that, and said it sounded fishy.
I’m looking for a new bank and closing my 20 year old account. Such BS. I don’t care if the Pope want’s to deposit to my account, that is no security risk. Taking money out is another issue… BOA=Big Brother.

I hate Bank Of America so much, I lost my house almost three years ago because of their lies. I even tried hiring a lawyer who ran off with my money, and know I would love away to find out how to sue them for the cost of my house.
Can Bank of America report status as 90-120 days late on an paid in full account years later? This ruined my credit and they won’t fix it.
I want to join if it’s not too late…B of A lied about what a HAFA Would be for me, then changed the terms after taking my payments. I paid every payment on time. Now they’re telling the utility companies that I don’t live there and to shut off utilities. I absolutely DO live there. Additionally, they somehow have my name screwed up in their system and they won’t talk to me on the phone because they say my middle and last names don’t match. Um, I haven’t changed it! What is wrong with these people? No notices have been posted or mailed to me. NONE. They cannot legally do this! I want to join the class action please!

You support an institution for 13 years, even after they choose to leave your town. You hold multiple accounts with them, including two mortgages and a line of credit. They change their fee policy with scarcely a notification, but they can’t see their way to forgive the unexpected levy despite the benefit of the proceeds from a house sale and the business account that are still under their purview. Then, to compound the evil they dope an image of the American flag with rainbow colors. I was looking for a good reason to leave them, and they gave me two of them.
We have had so many bad experiences with BOA from business accts to personal accts. I could go on and on about each of them but I won’t. Why? Because I just moved all 8 accts to a credit union. I am not going to waste anymore of my time trying to navigate the fee-system they have. I will save tons of money just in stupid fee’s alone and I don’t have to carry such high balances in my business accts so I actually have access to my own money. The best thing to do if you hate them as much as I do, move your money elsewhere. That is really the only way to hurt them!
BankAmericard Travel Rewards Visa Signature worst credit card ever. I over pay the card, the computer got frozen. I called the company they offer several time to deposit my money back on my debit card, several costume services give me five times confirmation numbers and promised each times that the problem will be resolved in 3 business day but it never happened, I never got back in my debit card the 416,67 dollars that I over pay neither I got credit for it. BankAmericard Travel Rewards Visa Signature made frauds with your money and services, do not apply for it, do not used it!!! I will place this complain all over the internet. I wonder if other people have the same problem so we can get a lawyer. I will appreciate if some one to check grama and spelling from this post so I will be more confident about to post it. Gracias.

I was looking for a part-time teller job at Bank of America (as a second job) since I did not make enough money for one job. After filing application,the Bank called me coming for a written test.
I was so surprised since all candidates copied each others during the test and the examiner” was not even aware”.
I was the last person leaving the testing room for the interview since I have the highest score.
They scheduled me for job training but I felt ashamed to work with these people and that’s why I did not take the job…..
Went in to Bank today in Lemmon Valley Nv. asked teller to order new checks for me. She couldn’t nor the other two standing next to her. Nor could the suit walking around behind them. She told me to order them on line or wait for another bank person in the office. So waited for 5 min and then was told It would be at least another 30 min. I asked her if she knew what customer service was she said she understands. I told her I wanted to close out my accounts and she said she understands and I would need to wait for that customer bank rep and could take 30 min or so. I told her I was less than pleased with this level of customer service . She said she understood. ALL I wanted her to do was order some more checks for me……She understood.

I am surprised there are not more BOA recent comments. They disservice me three times this year. I have had it. I am closing my accounts and looking for a better bank with better customer service. My initial research indicates this should be easy.
Is there still a current lawsuit going on? I applied for a loan modification after they told me that I qualified. For the next two months they kept calling back saying they needed more information. I gave them everything they asked for and they still denied me for a reason that also made no sense. I’m sure it is illegal but I wrote to the Attorney General of my state and he said there was nothing they could do. Please contact me if you need further information. This company should be ashamed of themselves!

I have sued bank of america four times – you have to get them to trial. don’t take a deal don’t settle on the cheap. they remove you to federal court lie to you hope that they can technical error you out. don’t let them think they can do it. Do not sign confidentiality agreements and talk to everyone about what happened. These stories need to get on news to senate congress and to your local mayors etc. doesn’t matter if they won’t listen keep at it and shame them People are dying and joining the growing homeless population. Demand a moratorium on evictions with homeowners in the home – stop these idiots who buy at foreclosure sales they are buying law suits and have no ethics training. Be careful with the litigation and bks you file – they can come back to bite you.
